China's GAC and Turkish carmaker TOGG in EV talks, says AK Party official
ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Chinese carmaker Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) is in talks with Turkish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer TOGG over a possible joint production venture, said Zafer Sirakaya, a deputy chairman of Turkey's ruling AK Party.
GAC's top management plans to visit TOGG in Turkey this month, Sirakaya told Reuters.
"During our visit to China, Guangzhou Automobile executives told us that they are in ongoing talks with TOGG and that they will visit TOGG in July," he said.
